I still use one of those old honking keyboards [Tactile Pro]. There is an easy distinction between keys and they are spaced far enough apart. The keys have a cupped recess to help you center on them …1 -

it is more a glare issue than a color issue. Any tone you feel comfortable with is ok as long as you have overcome the halo effect of pure white.3 -
